If you do a check on codeproject you will find an amazing cmd. One that works simple in a window and has command redirection. Very very handy for cut and past and roll back and so. Just look for QuickWin.

Console v1.5
Console is a Win console window enhancement. Console features include configurable font, color, size, background image and transparency (on Win2000 and later)
Console is *not* a shell. It's simply a nice-looking front end for a shell
of your choice (cmd.exe, 4NT, ksh, Cygwin bash, etc.)
try this one.

don't you just love google.. && Sourceforge
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=43764[EDIT] it's cool.. no install needed.. your original cmd.exe won't be adjusted as it's a frontend as sevenvirtues stated..
I use the config_small config file .. using this I always have a console when I need it!
here are some screens..
When it's not active

http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/4442/screen22xk.pngit's pretty much adjustable for your own needs using config files..

I patched my uxtheme.dll so I could use default .theme files without installing any of those annoying theme apps.. so it's not resource hungry like those..

OFFTOPIC but in the same vein OFFTOPIC
Yes this prog is awesome. Eterm is one of my favorite linux apps.
My question is... how to make the command line execs globally recognizant, so I don't have to chdir into the folder for each of my apps?
