Configure Windows Server 2003 DHCP w/ Linksys Router

My Setup:

Cable Modem, Linksys wrt54g and (2) XP Pro clients.

I want to have all traffic go through my Server and the out through the router and vise-versa... In a way that all client PC's are assigned an IP by the Server not the router. I don't want any client being able to connect to the internet w/ out going through the server first. I want the router to be the 1st line of defense and the server being the 2nd line of defense. I want to put a packet sniffer on my server so I can learn to sniff packets and so on. Which will be IRIS eeye.com.

I have accounts w/ dyndns.org and have configured my routers ddns to point to that dns.

Are there any links to tuts or vids that walk you through a Server 2003 DHCP setup through a linksys router??? Specifically w/ the above idea of traffic flow...

Please don't say Google it cause I have been for 2 days...

Thx, Dice

Disable dhcp on router, install proxy on server. Router is gateway to server, proxy (server) is gateway for clients.

Can you explain a little on the proxy? How and what do you use for setting up the proxy. Is this under the configure your server wizard? Or are you talking about a 3rd party app???

Where do I put the ISP's DNS address? In the proxy or on the servers dhcp setup? I'm doing all of this w/ a dynamic IP but my dynamic IP hasn't changed in months so I'm good for now...

I have dyndns on the router just so I can find myself remotely.. But, does my DNS have to point to my ISP (Adelphia) or the dyndns address when setting this up?

I'm following you on the routing but I just gotta try a ton of settings between the router and the DHCP setup....

U said u want users first to pas server (for internet) then from server to router etc...

So keep your configuration and for example download 602 Lan suite
Free app that installs a proxy (no internet proxy). A lan proxy. So the clients on the lan can connect to it. The proxy runs on the server

Dont chang anything else on the configuration.

Dns got to point to your router. Like www.mysite.com
Your router forwards 80 traffic to your server IIS.
