I got some Telnet tutorials from the numba 1 source : Google. But non of them say how to place a proxy and or bounce connections on the tutorials! and while in the GS IRC Chat I was told to find a misconfigured proxy (<~ i can find one) or manipalating a proxy (Which i dont have a hells clue what that means the manipulation part biggrin.gif ). Does anybody have any tutorials i have searched this forum but nothing i wanna know. huh.gif

it's that easy.... of course, the gateway/proxy/shell/whatever must support outbound telnet connections

... and you may consider "modifying" your mac address

just my thoughts

Your MAC address is like a fingerprint of your NIC. it's composed of two part.
part 1 : 16 bits (If I remember right) identifying the manufacturer of the card, + another 16 bits identifying your card itself.

So basically if I have your Mac address, I can locate / identify you...

you might google ARP and "mac address spoofing' if you wish to learn more..

well only way to set a proxy 'in front' of telnet is by using some other software .. you need socks4/5 proxies to make it work and aswell the software .. i used 'FreeCap' .. lets you choose a proxy and any exe that makes connections to the internet .. all traffic will be sent over the proxy ..

search google or this forum for "socks chain"

a "bouncer" (or to "bounce") is nothing more than a program that redirects your network communications... it functions somewhat like a proxy..

lets say you are computer A and you are trying to communicate to computer C with a bouncer. you would do this by installing a programming on computer B that accepts your connection requests and forwards all information (in its entirety) to computer C.

It is the same as me asking Tibbar (who posted in this thread) relay this message to you, and for him to give me any message you respond back with...

bouncers generally forwar all traffic and proxies generally have a more specific function but more or less work the same way. anytime you bounce through mutliple "bouncers" or proxies, it is called chaining...

the idea is that you will have several computers between the source and destination... again for example, you may send a message from computer A to computer B which sends a message to C which sends a message to computer D and so on until it finally reaches its destination: Computer Z. of course, when computer Z sends a message it will traverse all 24 of those bouncers (and FYI .. you will probably never successfully use 24 bouncers or proxies... 4 or 5 is usually enough)

hope this helps...
