*
* ---------------------------------------------------------------------
* Description:
*    A remote code execution and local elevation of privilege
*    vulnerability exists in Plug and Play that could allow an
*    attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability to take
*    complete control of the affected system.
*
*    This is a remote code execution and local privilege elevation
*    vulnerability. On Windows 2000, an anonymous attacker could
*    remotely try to exploit this vulnerability.
*
*    On Windows XP Service Pack 1, only an authenticated user could
*    remotely try to exploit this vulnerability.
*    On Window XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2003, only an
*    administrator can remotely access the affected component.
*    Therefore, on Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2003,
*    this is strictly a local privilege elevation vulnerability.
*    An anonymous user cannot remotely attempt to exploit this
*    vulnerability on Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows
*    Server 2003.

I suggest using a C version:
hxxp://www.frsirt.com/exploits/20050812.HOD-ms05039-pnp-expl.c.php
hxxp://www.frsirt.com/exploits/20050811.MS05-039.c.php

The first one shoudl compile under both a posix enviroment and windows. The second one should compile under windows only.

It looks like a good vuln, no doubt a worm will be released. No doubt botnet's will become larger once again. However randomly port scannning the net is dieing.
Chizo
how can i scan it?

Lame question - can't read the code..then don't use it
TeuBy
Chizo, look the code, it's easy wink.gif
espey
port 445
iceman517
The exploit downt work no shell
apoc_neo

iceman517
i use nc so nc ip port and i this give me no shell

I'm using it to.. But it doesn''t allways give a shelll. Windows xp computer are not vulnable, but the exploit says you have to try to connect to it..

It only works on windows 2000... port 445
datta
may be for its firewall
espey
I use a metasploit and I can see what is OS version. But for now i dont get shell
Skunky88
its always the same.. some bastards bring out a (filtered) bot like that for pnp and all systems get patched..
its worth trying to exploit online because quite all systems are patched or firewaled.
but can be fun on lan with non updated systems wink.gif
tba
this one works for me, if it hangs you can connect with nc.
had many shells smile.gif

2 minutes ago I try to exploit my friend (win2k) - it works but CRASH SHELLCODE...Exploit works but restart Windows 2000 polish...Not universal ?
