you debug something and find a bug in a rootkit you did not even know that is was running
I would have given everything to see the face of the programmer when he found that hackerdefender string in memory

hahaha yea man, also i find other bugs like when I use xnet to list services when hxdef is running it only shows the first 4 services.....

Interesting read. Has anyone else ever experianced this? I never stepped through hxdef to see where it in implementation but If this was true then hxdef would fail more wouldn't it? Is this just a random situation where the memory region was marked protect?
