This is a straight forward walk througth using Hotmail via outlook Express.

1:Get yourself a Hotmail account.

2: Click "Start"-"Programs"-"Outlook Express"

3: Click "Tools"-"Accounts" -"Add" and then "Mail"

4: In display name box write the name you wish people to see when receiving mail from you.-Click "Next"

5:In E-Mail address type your whole Hotmail address "johnsmith@hotmail.com"-"Next"

6:Make sure in "My incoming mail server is box is set to HTTP and then set "My HTTP Mail service provider to Hotmail.

7: Ensure that http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp appears in the incoming mail POP3,IMAP or HTTP server box-click "Next"

8:Enter your full e-mail address in "Account name and then enter the password for the account in the "Password Box"

9:"Next" -"Finish"

Somebody asked why I dont use bat. First of all the filters are for servers and not clients. Thats OK though unless your using pine or a unix mail client which I do. Anyway I put this out for your use to be nice. In addition Bat is commercial in nature. I use linux cause its easy and free. I send this as a spam resource not an end user resource. FYI: Over 1240 downloads in 30 days. Somebody is using the blacklist. I get on average about 20 emails a week concerning the blacklist so it IS working.

My sister and parrents use hotmail via outlook express.. That works just fine.. I never had any problems with it

Yeap. I have an account with Hotmail and getting mails via Outlook express. Nver have any problems. Hotmail is actually a good service but outlook itself - sux! Has to many holes like other M$ products.
