I can code in PERL and might be willing to help out some. You've heard of http://www.nessus.com, right? it does a lot of what you're talking about. Also, there is a guy working on a PERL GUI app that reproduces a lot of the exploits like the RPC one and etc. at http://www.metasploit.com/

Anyway, it might be nice to have a GSO project that does some of the same stuff.

S.A.R.A. is a perl based auditing tool. With so many already out there are you sure you want to reinvent the wheel? Its your time to do with as you wish and I wish you the best of luck. If I could help I would just for the experience. As it is I can't, but I will offer my services as a beta tester. LOL.
