Romania tackles rise in cyber-crime Internet crime could cost more than $200bn, say some experts. Most of it originates in the US but other like nations such as Romania are becoming hotbeds for online scamming, as technology correspondent Clark Boyd reports from Bucharest. Romanian students have built up computer skills The Friday night scene in the bar at Bucharest's Polytechnic University is a lot like any other college bar scene. Some students knock back a few beers. Others enjoy a game of pool. In another corner of the bar sit a dozen high-end desktop computers, complete with high-speed internet connections. This is where the real action or maybe the virtual action, is. Students sit three-deep waiting to get on a machine. For less than a dollar an hour, they can check e-mail, chat online, and listen to music. Most of them, however, are playing violent video games. Gaming aside, the youths who study computer science here are very good. In fact, Romania's a global powerhouse when it comes to computing and programming. .....Read more: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3344721.stmComments? Regards, LiquidSilver

LiquidSilver (filtered) OFF Im live in Romania, and you dont now what is here! We Have jobs for maxim 200 $, and 1 $ for minut means very a lot for us. if you can to hack 5 sitez from our conuntry best regards, but we can hack 5000 sites with .us in some time. I Live in Romania, I Born In Romania and i tell you (filtered) YOU!
Owww, and because you are poor your become a criminal. "Hey this guy has a nice porsche, I don't have the money for it, let's steal it. It's okay because I dont have that much money!" - weak man, weak. Romanian fraud hackers have no style at all. Always (filtered) with those creditcards or they hack objects and demand money from the victims then - not only poor but also weak-minded. My respect goes to the part of Romanian and Slovenian hacking scene that's not committing such fools frauds. Really skilled people there.

Hey let's start talking about the article now, shall we?
Better be careful on the internet these days. Then again, I never order online, just don't trust the security of data sent through cable. Always prefer to see the actual item. And I always thought China was a hacker country... or is it still?

I am surprised you found a thread from December 2003 and replied to it! Perl is also a good language to learn -- a friend of mine made a lot of money with very little work just making perl scripts for web empires. It is hilarious what people will pay for the most simple of things, especially when they have money!

I just gave MaNiakS 10 warning points for flaming. There was absolutely no reason for this. I could not let it ride.
If it happens again, a long vacation from the board will be next.

Yeah, I did, a little too late. But it serves as a warning to others all the same, especially since it got reactivated.
