As a trail member I agree. I don't know whats out there in the download section but I am sure that if I wanted something I could find it on my own or something else that would do the same function.
I like the articles and there is a lot of knowledge from the people that post here. The problem is people that want a download to make thier "hacking" experiance instead of learning what going on and doing it themselves. Hopefully I can make it of the Trail list before we all get canned for other peoples issues.

PS. This doesn't have to count as a post. Just a comment.

hi Comsec.
this is exactly what is being followed in many forums..
even our forums we implement the same technique.
the user after reaching certain amt of post pms the admin
so that the posts can be reviewed .
great move .

Good move. I have seen a lot of trial members making useless posts just to gain member access. It's silly to me, there is enough information all over this board to help you find anything in the downloads section, and a lot more, just using google. I am so used to using Google's cache to view these forums that just having trial membership is heaven! So so much information for the taking here, and I hope I can stay around long enough to share my knowledge with the rest of the community! Keep up the great work admins!

I think my way of posting would be considered 2-3 posts a day is appropriate, depending on the topic and what is going on in the forum. Useless posts should be deleted by the mods once viewed.

Rather than spamming thank you replys you could always help me out by scanning and up loading some new proxy lists from time to time.

I agree with points made in this thread. In my opinion, downloads should be stopped altogether. I can't help thinking that it's leading some people into trouble

.
Seriously though, trial members, if you want something so bad guys, just PM me and I'll try get it for you.

Maybe it's just me but this is such a broad question. What kind of LAN? Windows? Linux? Cisco? NetGear? What in the LAN is the target?
There are other questions that come to mind but if you want people to help, me thinks you'd have to be a bit more specific. Plus do a little research into what it is you want to do.

upload ipcscan, then execute it to scan the range of the network the remote computer is in, when you got passes, you can upload dameware and browse the other pc's in the network and upload your files.
BTW why do i get 10% warning for posting a thanks you post???? Isnt it decent to post a thank you message if someone helped you out????

maybe 1 word posts like "thanks" are too simple/easy to do?? although if i released a tool then i wouldnt mind feedback about whether it worked or not but detail in the description is always better than no detail

why are people asking such questions in something that has nothing to do with it anyway?.. ok, well anyway... spammers are getting kind of annoying, they see a topic, they go in and put one word answers without even reading it... it could be a really screwed up program or an ununderstandable tutorial but they'll say "thanks" or something anyway... it's kind of annoying, and then most forget about it 2 days later anyway....
just wanted to share grief.

Spammers can write lots of words too, usually drivel and non productive idle chat.
Quality and content trumps quantity every time

I strongly agree its pure luck and pleasure just to be here, even as a
trial member. I love to be able to just read posts and if my knowledge is able to help someone I will help someone. Who cares about the downloads, I am not here for that. I am here to help people and be helped to learn more. Even though I am a Network Security Analyst I still have much to learn. But also looking around at GSO is great. I mean your never bored. Everything is so interesting.

download section ? interesting.. never needed that ...
still great thou, all the tools gathered in one place.
i've been here for a year now and i've tried to read as much as possible, but i feel like i've only gotten thru like 1% or something..
this forum is a great source of knowledge, and i'm really glad that i can be here and get so much wisdom.
hopefully i'll be able to repay it some day, when i've gotten thru sum programming books and tried sum of the code.
until then, i'm really grateful that i'm still here, even though all the changes and low grade ppls who destroy for others.
creds to the admins =)
DO keep up the good work.
