Amazon Kindle 2.0 Ebook Reader

The success of the Amazon Kindle was probably a surprise to a number of people especially most of your mainstream analyst. But no one can deny the fact that the Kindle has really caught on to a number of unexpected demographics. With the integration of the Amazon Kindle 2.0 this coming year Amazon will take the opportunity to improve on a number of features that garnered the most criticism. Maybe an improvement to the weight, screen size, and keyboard configuration.

One thing that you won't be see changed on the Amazon Kindle 2.0 e-book reader is the actual Amazon Kindle e-book distribution service. Amazon has so far been able to create and run an e-book service that amazon kindle 2.0 ebook reader beasily integrated into a dedicated device. Even though most people felt that the price of books was a bit steep Amazon proved that people were able and willing to pay a premium when purchasing electronic books if the convenience factor was high enough. Amazon is continuing the innovation with the Kindle 2.0. Pricing will also be approximately the same for the device so people who felt the device was too expensive before are probably not going to convert over to the new version of the Kindle.

The dimensions of the Amazon Kindle 2.0 e-book reader or a bit larger than the Amazon Kindle 1.0 predecessor. For that additional size you do get a larger screen size. Also you do not seem to gain any additional weight which means they probably streamline some of the internal components. The size of the device should also be looked at as a benefit since it is already approximately the same size as an average book. So reading on it becomes rather intuitive.

The split keyboard arrangement has been replaced by a more standard QWERTY keyboard arrangement on the bottom of the device. Also the buttons have changed to a more standard rounded feel. Personally I would have appreciated a square button arrangement since I feel that the rounded buttons make my finger slipped a bit. But the overall key layout is a huge improvement on how the keys were distributed before on the Kindle 1.0. That being said this keyboard change is not going to encourage you to write a novel on your new Kindle 2.0 device. But some minor e-mail penmanship will be a lot more intuitive than previous.

The navigation buttons that are located on the right hand side are now much smaller supposedly to prevent accidental page turning and reading books on the Amazon Kindle 2.0. Supposedly Amazon and received a number of complaints from study groups at buttons were able to easily be hit when holding the device comfortably like a book. Some other changes of the fact that the device has added a a joystick that replaced the scroll wheel on the previous device. An indication that the Kindle 2.0 might be used for additional functionality than previously available in the original Kindle. Obviously a step forward by Amazon thinking that the device with it's always on wireless connection could serve a number of other shopping services.
