If you want a budget GPS system for your car than the Garmin nuvi 200 is definitely a decent buy and you do get your moneys worth out of the device. You get an affordable device with a name that you can trust like Garmin and you still receive the same basic quality provided by the Garmin GPS turn by turn instructions software. Don't expect to get many of the same bells and whistles that you may find in some of the higher models but if you are looking for a reliable way to get from point A to point B the Garmin nuvi 200 is worth the price.
The Garmin nuvi 200 features a 3.5-inch LCD touch screen-preloaded maps for the Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and continental U.S with regional coverage in other areas. The device comes in an ultra-slim design, 200 accepts custom POIs, and gives you a choice of 3D or 2D maps. A 3.5" screen is plenty large enough for the majority of taks that you'll need to use the Garmin nuvi 200 to perform. In my personal opinion the cost increase associated with GPS units that have 4 inch or larger screens is just a complete waste of money. The Garmin nuvi 200 does a great job letting you know when the toll roads were coming up and what roads to stay on. Now some people may be interested in using the device to determine what are the lowest gas prices available in any area. My opinion a lot of times these gas pricing data options are always on. Especially with the speed at which gas prices are changing constantly. Most of the time the prices are accurate when on the highway but not on local roads.
One thing to remember when purchasing any Garmin device the fact that the maps do not come for free and needing to upgrade them or the points of interest. You do get them free for the first year but that's about it.
