there is two main alternatives in order to install software, photos and videos in cell mobile phones, one from a computer through internet and another directly from your mobile cell phone.
Installing software, photos and videos from a personal comupter is more difficult than direct downloading to mobile phones but unexpensive.

Remeber about videos, that they are have high space requirements, therefore look for small videos by seaching by mobile videos, that have resolutions smaller than pc ones that fit properly on most mobile phones screens. Sometimes "Wireless Link" screen does run automatically as it should, then you can send any file from your cell phone, (go to "gallery" choose a photo, "Options" / "Send" / "Infrared Port") to force your computer to open "Wireless Link" screen, or "Right click" on selected file "Send to" / "Infrared device".
Desfortunately, it is not available features to send software from a cell phone to another through Infrared port, without installing first a software designed to do so.
Also, there is Bluetooth enabled mobile phones and computers for sending software task.

Use Nokia PC Suite or similar Sync Software supplied by cell phone maker to send files.
You can buy one from your manufacturer, If your mobile does not provide one, but as they are not standard, be careful to ask for one for your specific mobile phone. Nokia phones use a "DKU_2 Data cable", Motorola ones use usb to mini usb data cables and so on.
Last, Memory cards allowing you to copy files as a folppy disk from you computer into the card memory. As easy as inserting memory card in your Mobile Phones slot.
To keep software file preventing delete by mistake, move software file to your Mobile phone´s internal memory from the memory card.
