Phishing is becoming more of a problem than ever. Everyday more and more phishing scams pop up, emails flood our inboxes, waste space, and trick the average home user into giving up personal and confidential information.
Here is an article to help provide users with some resources and knowledge on phishing, and how to
help report it. 

 I've took some time to put together a short document on phishing and how to

be a part of reporting it.

 

I hope this can help raise the awareness amongst the average home user, who has little

or no knowledge of phishing scams.

 

 

First let’s make sure we know what phishing is with some examples.

Get SiteAdvisor

 

SiteAdvisor is a plugin for your web browser which will tell you how safe the site

you're on is. With its red or green icons, site advisor will let you know

if that site in your google search or which you're already visiting, containts

unsafe content, or heavy spam, etc.

Keep your Organization on the lookout.

 

Phish Registry is provided free by CipherTrust. It maintains a database of Sites,

and monitors when there are attempts to mirror or copy the site to create a phishing

scam.
