The world of hosting can be complex, but when only wanting to purchase hosting for your own website it's easy as pie. This guide will tell you about what everything means when your searching for your ideal host.Cool

Web Hosting
Picking the right web host can be difficult and you want to pick the best one possible because moving from host to host can be a pain. There are plenty of web hosts on the web waiting for new clients everyday. Some can have good technical support and some can be awful.
To know what hosting is good for you, first look at your website. How much disk space will you take up? After you figure that part out, ask yourself, how much space will I be using in the future for updates? Is my bandwidth going to be a lot? Everything in a host counts.
If you wish to be more cautious, about a web host you find interesting, a good place to start is (Link to webhostingtalk.com) which has over thousands of web host managements discussing hosting in a message board. Just register and ask if anyone there has had experience with the host(s) you are currently looking at. Sometimes the search function on the message board can help you more than replies you get the following day.
The worst scam to follow sometimes is the “unlimited” web hosting plans. Unlimited space or bandwidth means a server with no limits. Since a server is like a computer, do you think there is a computer with a hard drive with unlimited gigs of storage? No, just not possible so please do not fall for hosting sites like those. If they are lying about there server information, just imagine what else they be holding out on you.

Bandwidth
Everything being uploaded or downloaded on your site consumes bandwidth. You might have experience a site before saying there site was down because there bandwidth had been used up. This is common for new webmasters! You should be cautious about the data you send on your site(s) because everything counts!
Say you are creating a site so people can download your new software you just publish and the file is around 2MB and you have a total of 100MB space and 40GB bandwidth. So everyone thinks your program is so cool and you get an average of 1500 visitors a day and 1000 of those people are downloading your software. The bandwidth the whole month would consume 62GB but you only have 40GB. So the only possible solutions are to move to another web host or buy more bandwidth. Either way you lose this time around since you paid for hosting and did not even get to use all your possible days. Just plan for all the possible outcomes.
