Motorola is releasing its first full QWERTY keyboard slider called the Motorola Hint QA30. No word yet on what carrier may be carrying the device but many people are speculating that it will be either Verizon or Sprint. It's nice to be able to finally announce a phone that isn't another touchscreen device.

TiVo for Your iPhone

image

Okay the title can be a bit misleading. Since most people who hear the news announcements that TiVo is now offering application for the iPhone are going to think that they can view their recorded TV shows on their iPhone. Unfortunately that is not the case we are going to have to wait for Slingbox to finally get that option. But what we do get is the ability to schedule TiVo recordings directly from our iPhone to our device at home.

Verizon wireless is true that still trying to do everything it can to try and meet the success that AT&T has received by releasing the iPhone. Unfortunately with the recently released results of the Blackberry storm Verizon still needs to continue its push by offering new touchscreen phones. The Samsung Omnia is the next touchscreen phone to be offered by Verizon wireless to its customers in the hopes of keeping some of the younger subscribers from going over to AT&T. The Samsung Omnia isn't the first touchscreen offered by Samsung was already released a number of touch screen devices such as the Behold.

Find a Person by Address or Name

Probably one of the most asked questions that I get is how you can find a person by name address or phone number.  You see the website's advertised all over the Internet but you can still use a number of free website's to find a person online. With a little but of effort you can find out the information that you need.  Now you are not always going to find a person on line.  The chances of you successfully doing it are mainly based on how much they are on the grid.  For example finding your young school teacher or coworker is going to be a much easier prospect then finding your 80 year old grandmother.

Also depending on how many service like phone or Internet they are hooked up into will determine your chances of finding someone online using one of these tools.  Now if you find information about yourself online there really isn't much that you can do.  Most of the information about you online is either public domain information or information that you put on the Internet yourself.  All these website's are doing is collecting that information into a series of centralized spots.

The first place you should go is to the Social Internet to find people online. They most likely have a profile already and they are probably sharing to much information anyway.  So the first stop will be Wink.  Wink is a people search engine that makes it easy to find and connect with people online. Wink.com is the largest online people search with more than 200 million people profiles from across the Web, including social networks and other online communities.

The next stop will be the website's that track people for reunions and other school related issues.  For some reason people want to be found for school reunions.  Don't ask me why but they do ;-)  So check out:

Reunion: In the ever-evolving world of social networking, Reunion.com is the leading website for the grown-up social-network user to reconnect and keep in touch with family, friends, lost loves, and colleagues as life changes. With more than 50 million registered users and membership increasing on average by 1 million per month, Reunion.com offers the fastest and most comprehensive way to rediscover and stay connected with people from your past.

Classmates.com: The company’s online social networking Web sites enable users to locate and interact with acquaintances from high school, college, work and the military.

Anywho: All of the residential and business white pages listings are public information obtained from local telephone records for published telephone listings. These listings can range from three months to six months old and are updated every three months. Since erroneous information comes from local companies, errors must be corrected through those local companies.

Also if you want locate someone by IP Address you can almost find their exact location.
